Adair Gallo is the CEO and co-founder of Terraxy, a Saudi-based startup born from a research laboratory at KAUST – King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. During his PhD, Adair helped create, field test and scaleup the production of SandX and CarboSoil technologies. SandX addresses the massive water evaporation losses from irrigation. And CarboSoil is type of biochar specifically designed to re-engineer the alkaline sandy soils of Saudi Arabia for the very long term. Terraxy is converting organic waste streams into a potent soil amendment that helps plants better utilize nutrients to grow better and faster.
