About

Rachel Foley is a London-based, American designer exploring the intersection of emerging technologies and our existing social, economic, and cultural systems. Through design fiction, realism, film, and storytelling, she develops provocative near-future scenarios that aim to promote nuanced debate about humanity’s relationships with technology and ourselves. In considering the future of healthcare, AI, and personal data, she explores how design can be used as a tool to encourage government, industry, and the public to collectively shape our increasingly complex world. Rachel currently works as part of the London design duo DEBUNKcollective alongside Maël Hénaff. Her work has been exhibited at the Tate Modern Museum and Milan Design Week. She holds a MA in Material Futures from Central Saint Martins and worked previously in the New York healthcare and technology industries.
