ResqCollar is a rapid-deployment cervical collar designed for emergency situations where time and mobility are limited. It enables single-responder deployment and precise adjustment without tools or prior measurements. It can be applied from either the front or behind, making it suitable confined spaces like crash sites or disaster zones. Lightweight materials and ergonomic design ensure comfort and support, while its intuitive mechanism reduces stress and speeds up response, helping save lives when every second counts
I’m Barış Arman Karakaş, and I study Industrial Design at Middle East Technical University. Through my experiences in product and digital design companies, I have developed a passion for problem-solving as the most meaningful part of the design process. This stage strengthens my empathy and creativity, allowing me to approach challenges with innovative solutions.
