# 2019 WeGlo |
|
WeGlo is a wearable device that measures glucose concentration in the blood in a continuous and non-invasive way. As the number of people living with diabetes increases globally, more efficient ways of monitoring a patient’s health are required. WeGlo uses microwaves and radio frequencies to detect changes in blood-glucose levels, charting these measurements in the patient’s app. A smart algorithm is able to predict hyper/hypoglycemia before onset, alerting the patient to a potentially critical situation. Measurements can also be shared with a carer or doctor as a way of monitoring the patient’s medical status and prompting changes in medication or lifestyle.
