# 2019 Breaze |
Breaze is used to treat a sleep-related respiratory disorder called Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Syndrome (OSAS). During sleep the muscles tend to relax; however, if they do so excessively the tongue can fall back, closing the airways and interrupting sleep. Breaze aims to permanently strengthen various muscles by using exercises drawn from speech therapy. Consisting of a training device and an app, it strengthens the tongue, palate and throat muscles with predefined exercises. The app visualises the instructions and evaluates their execution, giving the user feedback. At the end of each workout, the user’s performance is saved and the app adjusts the training for the next session.
