Katharina Bellinger studied product design at the Berlin University of the Arts, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2018. Before that, she worked as a packaging designer for four years. With a more playful approach and working at the intersection of digital and analogue, she considers physical prototyping an important part of her design process. With her product and interaction design master's degree in summer 2021 at the Weißensee School of Art, she was able to deepen her main research interests. These include participatory design/co-design and user-centred design with a special focus on child-centred design, digital education and research. She is currently working as a research assistant in the research group 'Critical Maker Culture' at the UdK Berlin / Weizenbaum Institute and as a freelancer with the ‘Junge Tüftler*innen‘ at GoodLab Berlin. Marisa Nest successfully completed her B.Sc. in Applied Computer Science at the HTW Berlin in October 2019. The focus of her studies was on Social Network Analysis and Data Science, which, among other things, brought the intersection of humans and computers to the fore. In parallel, she has been working in the FU's Human-Centered Computing group since 2017, where she has been involved in research topics such as the interrelation between the social and technical components of a knowledge-based system. She has also been working as a web developer at HHV Handels GmbH since 2015. Since the winter/summer semester 2019/2020 she is studying Computer Science in the Master's program at the FU Berlin. Growing up in Berlin, Jacob developed a passion for the function of products and the way people interact with them from an early age. He sees good design as an evolutionary process of creative progress, whose nature should be honest and understandable - made for people. Jacob studied product design at Shenkar College of Art and Design and graduated with a B.A. in 2019. Jacob has been working as a freelance designer for 3 years and is currently completing a master's degree in product and interaction design at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art. Mattis Obermann is currently studying product design at the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art in the MA course. During his bachelor studies, which he will complete in 2019, he worked as a tutor in the eLab, the KHB laboratory for the development of projects for experimental research, development and design of technical interfaces. During his current studies he works as a student assistant in the "Matters of Activity" cluster of excellence, a research institute of the Humboldt University of Berlin, where he is in charge of the rapid prototyping workshop.
