BetterE

About

A system to extend lithium battery life and reduce e-waste

BetterE is a universal battery lifecycle extender for lithium-powered products such as ebikes and laptops. By setting a charge limit and preventing overcharging to 4.2(+) volts, it extends battery life. Plugged between a 220v socket and the charger, BetterE uses algorithms to determine the charging process's ideal stop point, promoting battery care and reducing e-waste. Created after noticing a lack of battery care in commercial products, it challenges manufacturers to adopt similar care.
