BioFidget

About

A children's toy remade for relaxation

BioFidget is a playful device for monitoring and treating stress. The design is inspired by the fidget spinner, an inexpensive and widely available children’s toy. BioFidget transforms the toy into a ‘smart spinner’ that allows the user to monitor breathing and other body functions. The user activates BioFidget with a simple flick of the finger. The device then takes a heart rate reading, which it displays on the spinner. By positioning the spinner in her mouth, the user can use BioFidget to monitor her breathing. The device also provides visual feedback to encourage a more regular and relaxed breathing and heart rate.
