Hexycle

About

A DIY kit to repurpose recycled leather

Hexcyle is a leathercraft kit designed to encourage individuals to create their own leather products and accessories by recycling leftovers.

Natural Leather is sourced in irregular shapes. As a result, product manufacturers revert to discarding considerable amounts of materials as production standards depend heavily on using geometric shapes.

Hexycle proposes using the left over materials from this process to divide discarded parts into small hexagons that anyone can combine into a single patterned sheet and produce their own leather goods, thereby eliminating the waste material and encouraging individuals to personally seek responsible consumption methods.
