About

An insurance network to protect farmers from natural disasters

From 2005 to 2016 an average of 260 natural disasters occurred in developing countries each year. This has had a significant effect on agricultural communities in particular as entire crops are wiped out through floods, drought or hail. ProFind provides an intelligent insurance solution for farmers in developing countries. Using technologies such as drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and remote sensing, accurate data is collected in order to assess the status of crops before and after natural disasters, with information shared on a web platform to provide transparency to all stakeholders. Faster disbursement is enabled, and risk is transferred from farmers to insurance companies through reliable pre- and post-disaster assessment.
