About

Recycled coffee cups made from coffee grounds to reduce the use of paper and plastic

We are living in times of resource scarcity and excessive waste production. Everyone is aware about it, but affecting behavioural change can be very challenging. The culture of take away coffee is increasing in popularity year by year, even though it is known that it generates significant amount of waste. Seedcup aims to rethink our behaviour and our perception of waste and turns it into a resource. Every day a large amount of coffee grounds are wastes in cafes. The Seedcup machine uses these to produce biogradable single-use coffee cups directly in their source location, to offer a sustainable alternative to single use disposable cups.
