Self-Management School Kit for Children with Type I Diabetes in Egypt

About

Egypt is among the world's top 10 countries with the highest number of diabetes.

The lack of healthcare in low-middle income schools results in children with type I diabetes being rejected from enrollment and end up home schooled. In addition, there is a lack of understanding about the disease .To address that, the self-management toolkit for children with diabetes allows 6+ year olds to monitor the disease independently, outlining the necessary tasks to manage blood glucose and insulin levels in a simple and streamlined way, including user-friendly devices.
