Smart Feminine Products

Smart Feminine Products

Project Overview

About

This innovation transforms pads and tampons into diagnostic tools by embedding sensors that measure menstrual blood volume and haemoglobin in real time, enabling objective detection of heavy menstrual bleeding. The platform also supports biomarker monitoring for inflammation, hormones, cancer, and metabolic health using electronic sensors and colourimetric strips. Data is sent to a mobile app for alerts and trend tracking. Designed for daily use, it offers accessible, at-home diagnostics that advance equity and insight in women’s healthcare
