Transforming pollution into sound with a musical instrument that makes us aware of our environment

The Sound of Turbulence is a device able to transform information about pollutants in the air into music, creating a sensorial experience to make people aware of elements that are hidden in their surroundings. It proposes the idea that musical instruments can be used to detect real-time data in the environment and translate it into a live performance. Holding this musical instruments in hand, the user engages in a subjective musical performance that connects them directly to their environment.
