About

This project advances ultrasound by enabling speed-of-sound (SoS) imaging using standard hand-held devices. SoS is a promising biomarker that reveals tissue composition and disease states, with applications in breast cancer and fatty liver diagnosis. Unlike bulky, double-sided systems, this approach works with existing clinical and portable ultrasound tools, supporting real-time, non-invasive, and accessible diagnosis. Clinical studies show promising results for breast cancer and density assessment, aiming to reduce reliance on costly, ionising, or invasive alternatives
