Aeropod

Aeropod

Project Overview

About

Aeropods are pressure-sensitive capsules that break up compacted, waterlogged soil without machinery, releasing oxygen and restoring drainage when most needed. Designed to biodegrade and enrich the soil with microbial nutrients, they support healthier crops while avoiding disruption to soil ecosystems. Customisable and climate-responsive, Aeropods offer farmers a low-risk, low-effort way to transition toward regenerative agriculture. By enabling natural soil recovery across all weather conditions, they help safeguard food production and future-proof vulnerable farmland

"I am a mission-driven interdisciplinary inventor and innovator. A soil obsessor, AI enthusiast, engineer and designer. I use design and engineering as tools to create, manage and drive product innovation in ‘wicked’ problem spaces. I primarily look at man in the context of his environment and time, and focus on designing solutions that understand and anticipate the needs of people, technologies, ecosystems, and future generations. I design for people and planet, with products primarily across sustainable agriculture and physical computing, creatively exploring materials, technology, systems and products to ensure global food and social security. I've designed products like Aeropod, Germinode, Nibi and Soro, alongside work experience at Huawei, Biofonic, and Computer Warehouse Group."
