About
Algreen's biobased polyurethanes, synthesised from agricultural waste and non-edible plant oils, offer a sustainable alternative to conventional petrol-derived polyurethanes, which account for 8% of global plastics. These innovative polyurethanes match or surpass traditional ones in performance, are 100% recyclable, and commercially viable. With a 1% market replacement, Algreen could achieve an 88bn kg CO2 equivalent reduction annually by 2029. The project will also foster growth in the bioeconomy supply chain and job creation across various sectors.
