C-scope is a low-cost cervical imaging system that enables early cancer screening in underserved areas. Combining a glare-reducing endoscope, real-time sharpness feedback, and on-device AI diagnosis, it allows nurses to capture and interpret diagnosis-ready images without specialist training. Designed for local clinics, it transforms cervical screening into a single-visit process, reducing unnecessary referrals and delays. The technology empowers early intervention and supports equitable healthcare access in low- and middle-income countries where cervical cancer is most deadly

Arjun Gopkumar is a design engineer with a Master's in Integrated Product Design from TU Delft and a background in Electronics Engineering. His work is focused on the intersection of technology and human well-being. He is a hands-on maker at heart, driven by the challenge of seeing a project through the entire creative engineering process,from the initial idea to the final, fully realized product. His thesis project, a low-cost 'digital endoscope' for AI-enhanced cervical cancer screening, exemplifies his hands-on approach.
