Climate Modelling Investigation

Climate Modelling Investigation

About

Extreme climate conditions, like floods, are rising due to climate change. Climate Modelling Investigation examines climate models from three angles: evaluating their performance in predicting extreme precipitation, studying future precipitation changes, and downscaling model outputs for regional analysis. Advanced stochastic methods assess the model's multi-dimensional aspects. Results will help future models in predicting extreme weather events more effectively and aid engineers in designing infrastructure considering their impact.

I am a devoted PhD candidate at the University of Calgary, dedicated to mitigating extreme weather events like floods, droughts, heatwaves, and wildfires. My research addresses flood drivers, such as excessive precipitation and snowmelt. Currently, I am actively seeking postdoctoral fellowships to expand this work and explore complex interconnections between precipitation, snow depth, temperature, and humidity in urban areas. My mission is to provide valuable insights for both the scientific and social communities, enabling easier adaptation and mitigation of extreme weather in our changing climate.
