About

Indoor navigation has been a long-standing problem, with GPS signals rarely proving accurate positions within enclosed structures. This is an even more serious problem in large hospitals. DISHA aims to provide an alternative navigation system that is seamless, simple and sustainable. It is a silk protein patch that can be attached to the users wrist and uses surrounding Wi-Fi routers to triangulate its location. A light emitting diode LED paint is then activated for navigation purposes. The patch dissolves after use and is biodegradable, thus not generating waste from single use products.
