Project Overview
About
Laico is a user-friendly EEG headset for young epilepsy patients that can be correctly installed by anyone without any prior knowledge, outside the context of the clinic. It attempts to make 24-hour EEG more accessible and convenient, without the difficulty and discomfort involved in the traditional process of gluing on electrodes, which is frequently traumatising for children.

I graduated as a product developer at the University of Antwerp. During the last few years of my five year training, I got heavily interested in problem-solving around sports, medical treatments and sports for those who are being held back by a physical disability. During my thesis year, I did everything in my power to make 24 hour EEG registrations more bearable for young epilepsy patients. Everyone should have the right to a carefree childhood.
