MemPal is a wearable voice-based assistant designed to aid older adults with memory impairments. MemPal provides proactive safety reminders and offers a summary of activities for caregivers and physicians, enhancing home safety and independence. Samantha Chan
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Samantha Chan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the MIT Media Lab, exploring interfaces for augmenting human memory and cognition. She received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from The University of Auckland and B.Eng from Singapore University of Technology and Design. Her research interests include Human Computer Interactions, AI, conversational interfaces, and biosignals.
Natasha Maniar
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Natasha is a recent graduate from MIT Media Lab, where she studied computer science for her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Her interests include wearable devices for cognitive augmentation, multimodal AI interaction, and digital healthcare assistants for physicians and patients.
