Crashes and other incidents caused by distracted drivers have become one of the greatest threats to road safety worldwide. Pelto’s award-winning design applies the knowledge and understanding of human intelligence to reduce the cognitive demand of certain tasks. The solution is a wearable device that facilitates specific gestures and actions to reduce levels of distraction when texting, calling, navigating or changing a song while driving, proven to reduce driver distraction and improve road safety.

I am an Industrial Designer whose passion stems from developing unique solutions to improve the user’s experience and relationship with a product. Through my education at Carleton University in Canada, I have developed the knowledge and skills required to bridge the gap between disciplines and create more refined products that improve the lives of others while reducing the impact they have on the environment. In the future I aspire to work on a wide range of products in the tech industry and eventually pursue my dream of owning my own product design consultancy firm that focuses on product sustainability.
