The QuaranTent addresses the burden that quarantine might pose on the home and other members of the household. Designed as a collapsible tent that allows infected or exposed people to quarantine themselves without causing entire portions of homes to be shuttered off. It includes a small mattress, miniature sink, toilet, shower and a small window to serve and receive food. The optional trap floor allows for outdoor deployment, if needed.

She’s currently at Parsons School of Design pursuing an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design.
Raissa Xie
Parsons School of Design
Raissa Xie is a designer and researcher currently pursuing an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design at Parsons School of Design. She previously worked in digital product design, before joining Parsons to explore how design can be used as a decision-making tool to facilitate conversations at the intersection of policy, technology, and social sciences.
