About
Kelp forests, which mitigate climate change at 7 times the rate of trees, are disappearing due to warming oceans, pollution, and over-fishing. This transportable raft projects underwater light to promote kelp growth. By extending the period of light availability, reproduction is increased to a level where regeneration can become self-sufficient. As well as saving one of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems, Recystis will benefit coastal communities by safeguarding fishing and marine habitats.
