About

Easy to use data privacy tool

Understanding internet privacy policies is complicated meaning that most web users are unaware of potential privacy threats.

Obelize presents website privacy policies in an accessible and concise way to encourage engagement and enable decision making whilst still being integrable in the user’s workflow. It is a browser extension which protects automatically by being programmed to turn all web settings into privacy friendly by default, increasing the match between people’s privacy attitudes and their choices.

Obelize was my MSc. Industrial Design graduation project at the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands. The fact that our privacy is increasingly at risk in our digital society triggered me to focus my design career on creating user-centered data privacy experiences. My vision is that a user-centered approach leads to more trust and happy customers instead of nudging users into intrusive privacy decisions. Dell Technologies shares the same idea, which is why I joined them as a UX designer after graduating last March. more
